The Four Box Meal- Fruit /Savory Crunchy /Nuts/Snack

I am constantly on a hunt for Healthy Lunch box Ideas for my Kids. Its more like a challenge to keep it fresh and healthy as kids get bored very quickly and monotony kills their appetite.

Happiness for Mothers is ,When we get empty tiffin boxes in the afternoon.But we need to keep the Lunch Meals interesting as well as healthy for the Kids.Although every child has a taste preference and you need to know what appeals to your kids more and prepare the tiffins accordingly.But this Idea has four variable components and you can play around with these places to be filled with what suits you.Like i have put plums,you may replace it with any other fruit of your childs choice. Savory crunchy is the Fun bit ,as kids love munching on crackers.Fox nut/Lotus Seeds is magical ingredients and just a little pan roasting with salt or italian seasoning make it crunchy and yummy.Alert!!! Its very addictive and once you start munching you just want to have more and more.But its a very healthy snack.Then you have nuts.Summers you can put Almonds and winter you may add dry roasted and caramalised walnuts ,raisins,cashew and pistachchio and more.

Then come the main Snack!

Here,you are free to experiment.Poha,Daliya,Pasta,Upma,Vermacillies,Appe,Rice /Pulao…the list is long and many to choose from.

Occassionally you may add a bit of zing with a few favorites .Here is another recipe of

Dry Lotus Seeds:

Take 2 tbsp Clarified Butter/Desi Ghee in a pan ,add 1 cup lotus seeds and start roasting on simmer. In a few minutes,the seeds will loose all their moisture and get a crunchy texture.Add salt and take off flame.You may add any other seasoning of your choice now and pack in an air tight container .
