Paneer Tikka on the giddle is a recipe of marinated paneer and salad on skewers cooked on the griddle instead of tandoor.This is an easy preperation but brings out the flavors form one of your favorite restaurant at home.

  1. in a deep bowl, add the paneer cubes ,onion ,capsicum and tomato cubes .
  2. In a small bowl, mix together ginger garlic paste, tandoori masala,lemon juice,salt,red chili powder,coriander powder,hung curd and Malai and ghee/clarified butter.
  3. Pour the marinade over the cubed paneer and veggies and smear it nicely over all the cubes.
  4. Refrigerate this covered for at least an hour.If you are making ahead for a party then you can put them onto a skewer right away and cover with a cling and refrigerate till ready to cook.You must make ahead this at least an hour before .
  5. When ready for cooking (if not making ahead as in the above step) put it onto the skewers.Heat the griddle and Now grill these skewers on the griddle with pouring little oil to avoid sticking.Keep rotating to ensure even browning on all sides.
  6. serve hot on to a roomali roti with mint chutney/sauce. Drizzle a little lemon juice on top of each skewer and sprinkle a little chaat masala.
