  1. Soak the rice over night.
  2. Soak moong dal alongside.
  3. In the morning,soak poha for 15 min in water and grind rice ,poha and moong dal together. Grind coarsely .
  4. Let the mixture ferment for 4-5 hours(in summers it may take lesser time to ferment )
  5. Once fermented add salt and semi cooked carrots before steaming the idlis.
  6. Steam idlis and serve hot with mint chutney/ Coconut chutney / Red tomato chutney.
