5 minute homemade Chocolate Bark

Make the 5 minute homemade chocolate bark in your own kitchen and decorate it with your own personal favorite toppings. I love dried fruits and almonds and also find ways to club them with my choice of ingredients,  and making desserts healthier. So go ahead and try this lovely version of chocolate bark topped with dried apricots , dried cranberries and kiwi along with almonds , pistachio and cashews. 

If you read my blog regularly, you know i am a mum who just wants to make recipes healthier without compromising their taste. And sometimes recipes do come out better with healthier variations.This particular recipe of 5 minute homemade chocolate bark is no exception. Although you do not need any recipe to make these delicious 5 minute chocolate bark, but you do need the process right.Also the better chocolate you choose to make it with, the better the flavors.

You have many options in the market. I refer to make mine with either Bournville or Lindt dark chocolate. The  baking chocolate slabs will do, but naturally the flavors will differ. Then i too add a bit of vanilla and butter. Here you need unsalted butter.

This year i tried to make these for gifting as well. And the lot i made for home vanished quicker then i expected.I did add a bit of sugar ,as kids dont like it bitter, but you may change it to your personal preference.

5 minute homemade chocolate bark recipe

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Break and melt the chocolate in a double boiler / glass bowl over a saucepan with simmering water.
  2. Take it off the boiler and then add, vanilla extract, sugar and butter and mix well until the sugar is completely dissolved.Remember, the chocolate mixture here should be thick
  3. Line a tray with parchment or butter paper and pour the mixture over .Stamp the tray on the shelf to settle the bubbles and spread the chocolate evenly.
  4. Now, sprinkle the chopped dried fruits and nuts mixture over.You may do this step as per your choice.
  5. Leave it to cool on the shelf for about 30 minutes and in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
  6. You can store this in the refrigerator for a month and outside for about 15 days.
