Nutrela broken wheat Fritters-how to make soy chunks and daliya fritters

 

Nutrela Broken wheat fritter are made with soya chunks and broken wheat with lots of veggies.A a protein rich, carbohydrate rich, fiber rich snack. I am always on a look out to cook healthy snacks at home as my first guests are always my children.

And I also keep exploring my options of feeding them certain foods as a disguise, which are on their NO NO list. I think I have said that before. So today was another such day. Delhi is humid and hot…I mean really hot. The weather is awful and we just don’t want to eat any dal, chapati,vegies ,I mean the regular dal roti these day for dinner. And I needed a healthy snack as well as dinner option. I had some nutrela chunks,daliya/bulgur wheat which. So I took nutrela which is my protein, daliya or broken wheat and just mixed these two with some mashed potatoes and crumbled paneer or Indian curd cheese and spiced it a bit for flavors and I had a yummy snack ready. They just vanished in minutes. And here I am sharing my recipe with you.

 

 

Try these I am sure your kids will love them too. And yes I relished each bite with these fritter with my evening Tea. And yes what did I do about my dinner? Yeah…well that’s another post I guess. Nutrela/Soybean Daliya/Brokenwheat Fritters

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Take nutrela,dalia,green peas In a pressure cooker ,add xbd cup water and cook till 2 whistles on medium flame.Take them off the flame,open the cooker and cook them in a fry pan to dry till all the water evaporates,as otherwise out fritters will break during frying.Do add a little salt while pressure cooking for better taste.
  2. Making the mixture: cool the daliya, nutrela mix completely.In another bowl put the rest of the ingredients and then ad the nutrela mixture.Mash them together nicely and your mixure is ready to be fried.
  3. How to prepare: Make small balls from the mix .Try make them all of the same size.Heat 3 tbsp oil in a nonstick pan and fry the fritters on high flame.
  4. Serve hot with mint and chili sauce or a simple tomato ketchup. i
