Mango Banana Smoothie made with fresh ripe mangoes, ripe bananas and fresh coconut water with a hint of honey.A perfect drink to chill this summer.Summers are painted yellow for us as Mangoes in all their varieties come home and chill in the refrigerator. Except the Alphonso, rest all the varieties make place in our basket.
With so many flavors and textures on the table, the menu goes truly international. From humble desserts to drinks/shakes and smoothies. I wish i could blog every recipe i make with the King of fruits. But sometimes time and sometimes because the dish is simply over before i prepare to photograph. But we never miss the fun and truly enjoy every bite.
This is a very simple recipe and prepared in minutes.Just slice your banana, dice your mango and add the honey and coconut water. If you dont like too sweet then a hint of lemon juice is optional. To my jar i crush one basil leaf and they pour on my smoothie. Its just tastes perfect.
Lately i have been reading on the health benefits based on colors of different fruits and vegetables. I was amazed to read the benefits a yellow colored fruits has to offer. Yellow color is not only a perfect summer color but also full of magic. So smoothies are a perfect cool way of giving everything your body needs in the hot weather. Also when we have the fruits in their natural form, the benefits are more that when we process them or cook them.
Find your reasons to dive in this fresh cooler in the this hot and humid weather. I am as i write this post. Yummy!
- 1/2 cup Mango Chunks
- 1 banana sliced
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 cup coconut water fresh prefered
- Put all the ingredients into a mixer jar and churn till everything mixed well.Put lots of ice and serve chilled.
A little lemon juice is optional if you like a bit sweet 'n' sour flavor.
