For me, the most special time of the day is my evening Tea Time!
Especially this time of the year, when the weather takes a turn by each passing hour of the day and evenings are normally called in with a cloudy sky. A nice evening chai time snack is more than welcome. Normally, In this weather, you would always find me frying something in my kitchen. But this time I tried a snack which is low calorie. I can bake as well as pan fry. These lovely Cauliflower Nuggets gave me company with my Tea. Cauliflower may sound very unconventional, but these come out just amazing. Could be even served as a party appetizer.
I baked them, but you may even pan fry them. They are very easy to prepare and quick to serve. If you are making them for a party then you may even make them in advance and keep them in the refrigerator and just take them out 5 minutes before frying them.
- 2 cups cauliflower florets blanched and finely ground
- 1 green capsicum Green small chopped

- Grind the cooled florets in the food processor. Transfer the ground florets to a bowl.
- Now add the chopped capsicum, onion and green chilies. Add the bread crumbs, egg and ginger garlic paste. Add in the salt, pepper, Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese.
- Mix well and make nugget shapes and place on to a greased baking tray or lined tray.

- Bake them on 200 dc for 20-25 minutes depending on your oven till golden brown. Turn sides after 10-15 minutes once done on one side.

I don’t make enough cauliflower recipes, and this is exactly the kind of recipe I need to switch things up a little. Perfect for snacks, or as a side to a bigger meal. I’m really intrigued by the combination of Indian staples with the cheeses too – I’m going to have to explore that idea more! Cheers.

Oh these do sound delicious! And so healthy, too! I love that you chose to bake them to keep them lower in fat and calories – that would definitely be my preference. And like you said – I can absolutely see them as a scrumptious little party appetizer with a yummy dipping sauce. Great alternative to fried foods!

You wouldn’t guess these are cauliflower nuggets from the pictures. Looks like a genius way to sneak veggies into a kid’s diet! But also an adult… sometimes you just want to have the comfort of a finger food even when having something healthy and these cauliflower nuggets seem the perfect compromise!
