Simply diced mangoes and veggies enameled with a simple vinaigrette . Fun to make and absolute pleasure to eat.
On top ,the freshly roasted cumin seeds just leave you asking for more. You’ll fall in love with the sweet and salty and a bit tangy flavors of this salad.

A mango salad with freshly roasted cumin seeds vinaigrette made with diced mangoes ,tomatoes,capsicum, juicy lettuce and fresh coriander leaves.
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 2 tsp Castor Sugar
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice optional. I did not as my mango was a bit too sour
- 1/2 tsp rock salt /salt
- 1 tsp Mustard powder
- 1 tsp roasted cumin seeds Bhuna jeera powder
- 1/2 tsp white pepper optional
- 1 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
- 1 Big mango slightly unripe. I used safeda mango.
- 1 lettuce medium sized
- 1 green capsicum medium sized
- 3 Tomatoes medium sized
- 1/4 cup coriander leaves freshly chopped
- Take salt,sugar,mustard powder,vinegar and olive oil in a small bowl.Mix well till sugar dissolved.Keep aside
- Peel the skin of the mango. Now, cut lengthwise and then cut equal sized cubes .
- Cut the tomatoes mengthwise and capsicum into cubes. The lettuce you may just break into small pieces with your hands and add. Mix everything well.
- Now, pour the viniagrette over the salad and mix well.
- Add the coriander leaves and mix well.
- Sprinkle the roasted cumin powder over the salad and mix well. Chill in the fridge for 15 minutes before serving.Or if the ingredients were cold enough then you may immediately serve.
